OUR STORY
Superior Green was established in 2002 by Luke Marsh (Director) to provide an independent irrigation installer and irrigation consultancy service to golf courses, sporting facilities, recreational turfgrass facilities and Municipal councils.
Brief History
Luke has obtained extensive knowledge in turfgrass management, irrigation installation, irrigation products, sporting facility construction and installation / supervision of large projects during his career that spans over 30 years whilst working for leading Melbourne sand belt golf courses. Superior Green is a member of VGCSA (Victorian Golf Course Superintendents Association) and STA (Sports Turf Association).
As a Golf Course Management Assistant at Victoria Golf Club in the mide to late 1990s, Luke has a proven record in effective management of staff, budgeting, turf management practices and standards expected, quality installations of irrigation systems, turf management presentation, planning, design, construction and supervision of major projects. During this time he also gained a great deal of experience in liaising with boards of management and a range of regulatory bodies.
Luke receives great satisfaction seeing a project develop from conceptual stage through to completion. He enjoys the challenge of providing practical solutions for problems that can emerge during large projects. There are many elements to knowledge that can only learned through experience, the advantage you have when choosing Superior Green is knowing you are purchasing this knowledge.
Luke and his team are qualified turf managers and have all previously worked at golf courses, sports ovals and sporting facilities in a variety or roles. The team’s knowledge for golf course irrigation, golf operations, golf etiquette and the needs for each individual turf situation is what Superior Green is an industry leader in.
